  Billy Cloud was appointed as the Cochise County Recorder in February 2025 to succeed David Stevens. His professional background includes experience in law enforcement, having worked as an officer for the Arizona Department of Public Safety and as the chief of police in Tombstone and Patagonia. He also served as the sergeant at arms in the Arizona House of Representatives and as a financial investigations manager for the Arizona Department of Economic Security's adult protective services division.
