Bella Bautista is a 22-year-old transgender woman and community advocate from Cartersville, Georgia. She is running as a Democrat for Georgia House of Representatives District 14 in the May 19, 2026 primary. Her platform focuses on strong public education, economic opportunity, and responsive leadership. Bautista has a background in pageantry, being the first transgender person to enter Miss Georgia and having represented Tennessee in Miss Supranational USA. In high school, she founded a diversity club to support LGBTQ+ students and students of color. As a Mexican woman, she advocates against immigration crackdowns and for trans rights, committed to representing and amplifying underrepresented voices.

Mitchell Scoggins is an incumbent Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 14. He assumed office in January 2019 and is seeking re-election in the 2026 Republican primary. Previously, Scoggins served as the Bartow County Probate Judge from 1989 to 2016, and was also a Bartow County Firefighter and involved with the Bartow County Tax Commission. He holds a high school diploma from Cass High School. In the House, he serves on committees including Transportation and Judiciary, and chairs the Special Rules Committee. He is married to Donna.
