Joshua Meggers is an American politician and former police officer, currently serving as a Republican State Representative for Iowa's 54th District. Born in Cedar Falls in 1980, he was raised in Buckingham, Iowa, and holds a criminology degree from Upper Iowa University. Meggers served as a state trooper before assuming office in the Iowa House of Representatives on January 1, 2023. As an incumbent, he is seeking re-election in the 2026 primary. He actively participates in legislative affairs, serving on committees such as Agriculture, Public Safety, Transportation, Ways and Means, and as Vice Chair of Labor and Workforce.
