  Isaiah Harris is a Pittsburg resident running for the Kansas House of Representatives, motivated by his own background. Raised by a single mother, he experienced childhood homelessness and relied on community support. A Pittsburg State Alumnus and a dues-paying member of UFCW Local 2, he understands firsthand the power of labor unions. He advocates for empowering workers, protecting their right to organize, and strictly enforcing labor laws. Harris believes anyone working 40 hours should be able to afford rent and is critical of what he perceives as an out-of-touch state government. He also champions investing in education and mutual aid programs.
