He earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Lamar University in Texas and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication from Bangalore University in India. He has 11 publications in IEEE International Conferences and Journals and has served as a review panel member for the National Science Foundation, NASA, and the Department of Defense.
- Andrew Friedson — County Executive in Montgomery, Maryland
Andrew Friedson is a Democratic candidate for Montgomery County Executive. He is currently serving his second term on the Montgomery County Council representing District 1, which includes Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and Potomac. First elected in 2018, he became the youngest councilmember in county history. He was later elected as the youngest-ever Council President in December 2023. As a councilmember, Friedson chairs the Planning, Housing, & Parks Committee and serves on the Health and Human Services Committee. According to the official results from the primary, he secured 2,429 votes. A perennial candidate, this is his second bid for county executive and ninth run for public office overall, having previously campaigned for a County Council seat and the 8th Congressional District.
