Milam retired as the Chief Assistant Sheriff for Prince George's County, serving as the second-in-command for that agency. In this senior management role, he was part of a leadership team responsible for overseeing nearly 400 sworn deputies and civilian staff members. His previous command positions include Assistant Sheriff for the Bureau of Administration. Milam holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland Global Campus and is also a graduate of the Police Union Leadership Program at Harvard Law School.
