  Wess Garner is the Republican State's Attorney for Somerset County, Maryland. He has served in this role since January 7, 2019, having previously been the Interim State's Attorney starting in September 2017. His legal career includes experience as a Deputy State's Attorney and an Assistant State's Attorney for Somerset County. Garner earned his B.A. from the College of William and Mary and his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2009. He is a member of the Maryland State's Attorney's Association.
