  David Wayne Beverley, II is a candidate for County Council in Maryland's Councilmanic District 1. A professional firefighter and EMT, he previously served as a corrections officer. Beverley is also a small business owner in the lodging industry. He is running on a platform centered on being a "Constitutionalist," with a focus on individual liberties and free enterprise. Coming from a family with a background in military and public service, he is the eldest of eight siblings. In 2022, he ran as an Independent for the District 5 seat on the Dorchester County Council.

  Robert E. Kramer, Jr. is a Republican member of the Dorchester County Council, representing District 1 since December 6, 2022. A graduate of Cambridge-South Dorchester High School, he is the owner and operator of TKO Welding, Fabrication & Repair, REK Firearms, and Cabin Creek Properties. Kramer is also a member of the Neck District Volunteer Fire Company, the Masons Lodge no. 243, the Mid-Shore Dive Team, and the Dorchester Waterman's Association. His public service includes roles on the Dorchester County Board of Health and the Mid-Shore Regional Council.
