Daniel Armando Jones is a Democratic candidate running for Prince George's County Council in Councilmanic District 2. A resident of Hyattsville, Jones is the legislative affairs manager for America's Essential Hospitals, an advocacy group for hospitals in underserved communities. His career has been focused on legislative work, including positions as a legislative assistant for U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist and a legislative fellow in the office of U.S. Rep. Darren Soto through the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. He also serves as a member of the Prince George's County Police Accountability Board. Jones is a first-time candidate for this office.

Victor Ramirez is a Democratic candidate for County Council in Councilmanic District 2, Maryland. He previously made history as the first Latino elected to the Maryland House of Delegates (2003-2011) and the State Senate (2011-2019), representing District 47. A graduate of Frostburg State University and St. Thomas University School of Law, Ramirez is an attorney with his own practice. In the legislature, he sponsored the Maryland DREAM Act and legislation for immigrant driver's licenses. He has served on the Judiciary and Ways and Means Committees and has been recognized as a Top 100 Criminal Defense Attorney. Ramirez is also a community leader, having served as a trustee for Prince George's Community College and as a youth soccer coach.
