During his tenure, Jalisi was appointed to the Judiciary Committee and later served on the Environment and Transportation Committee. Born in Hyderabad, Pakistan, he earned a medical degree from the University of Karachi and subsequently obtained a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. Beyond his work in medicine and public service, he has also been active as a real estate investor. In 2022, Jalisi ran an unsuccessful campaign for the Maryland State Senate.
