Chuck Cook is a Democratic candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates (District 33B). A veteran and Crofton resident, he currently serves as the Chief Legislative Officer for the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. His previous roles include Vice President of Policy for the Business Network for Offshore Wind and seven years as Political and Legislative Director for the Maryland State and D.C. AFL-CIO. Throughout his career, Cook has focused on workforce development and advancing legislative goals for working families. He holds a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Salisbury University and has earned the endorsement of the Maryland League of Conservation Voters. Cook is running in the Democratic primary on June 23, 2026.

Stuart M. Schmidt, Jr. is an American politician and businessman affiliated with the Republican Party. He currently serves as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, where he represents the interests of District 33B in Anne Arundel County. Schmidt officially began his term in office on January 11, 2023. A lifelong resident of the area, he was born in Anne Arundel County and is a graduate of Glen Burnie High School. He pursued higher education, earning a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from Salisbury University, followed by a Master of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore. His professional background is rooted in real estate, where he established and owns Schmidt Home Consultants. In his legislative capacity, he serves on the House Judiciary Committee. Beyond his political and professional career, Schmidt is also active in his community as a high school baseball and golf coach.
