Benjamin F. Kramer, a Democrat, currently represents District 19 in the Maryland State Senate, a position he has held since his swearing-in on January 9, 2019. His career in the Maryland General Assembly began in the House of Delegates, where he represented the same district for three terms, from 2007 until 2019. A native of Wheaton, Maryland, born on March 5, 1957, Kramer graduated from John F. Kennedy High School before attending the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in law enforcement. As a state senator, he serves on the influential Finance Committee and also chairs the Montgomery County Delegation. His legislative work consistently focuses on key areas such as consumer protection, education, and public safety.
