- Jim Rosapepe — State Senator in Legislative District 21, Maryland
Jim Rosapepe is a Democratic member of the Maryland State Senate, representing District 21 since assuming office in 2007. He currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Budget and Taxation Committee. His extensive public service career includes serving in the Maryland House of Delegates from 1987 to 1997. Following his time in the state legislature, President Bill Clinton appointed Rosapepe to be the United States Ambassador to Romania, a role he held from 1998 to 2001. He has also served on the Board of Regents for the University System of Maryland. Born in Rome, Italy, Rosapepe co-authored the book "Dracula is Dead" with his wife, Sheilah Kast.
