  Nelida 'Nellie' Pou is the incumbent U.S. Representative for New Jersey's 9th congressional district, having assumed office in 2025. A Democrat, she previously served in the New Jersey Senate from 2012 to 2025, where she was the Majority Caucus Chair, and in the New Jersey General Assembly from 1997 to 2012. Born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey, Pou spent much of her early career working for the City of Paterson in various roles, including as Business Administrator.

• Rosie Pino — Clifton City Councilwoman in Clifton, NJ

  Rosie Pino is a Clifton City Councilwoman and former Clifton Board of Education member. The daughter of Ecuadorian immigrants, Pino earned a degree in finance from Rutgers University and worked as a bank examiner for the U.S. Department of the Treasury. First elected to the Clifton City Council in 2018, she is running as a Republican for New Jersey's 9th Congressional District in the 2026 election, focusing on fiscal responsibility, economic opportunity, and border security.

• Tiffany Burress — Attorney in Totowa, NJ

  Tiffany Glenn Burress is a workers' compensation and personal injury attorney. She is a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, running to represent New Jersey's 9th Congressional District in the 2026 election. Burress serves on the Workers' Compensation Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and currently practices law in New Jersey. A former collegiate track and field athlete at Penn State University, she resides in Totowa, New Jersey.
