- Michael Melham — Mayor of Belleville in Belleville, New Jersey
Michael Melham is the incumbent Mayor of Belleville, first elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. He was born and raised in Belleville and graduated from the local public school system. He earned a BA in Communications from William Paterson University and is pursuing a Master's in City & Regional Planning. Before becoming mayor, he served as a Councilman from 2000 to 2004. Melham is also an entrepreneur, having founded AlphaDog Solutions, a local government communications company, in 2005.

Frank Vélez is a lifelong resident of Belleville and currently serves as the 2nd Ward Councilman. He set a milestone as the youngest-ever member elected to the Belleville Board of Education at age 19 in 2021, where he served a full three-year term. He was subsequently elected to the town council in 2024. Vélez has also worked as an aide to the late Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. In 2025, he was a candidate in the Democratic primary for the New Jersey General Assembly, District 34.
