  John N. Balwierczak, a lifelong resident and North Arlington High School graduate, is running for Mayor as a Democrat. A former Republican, he aims to end what he calls "one-party rule" and hold incumbent Mayor Dan Pronti accountable for issues like urbanization, gentrification, density, and random property reassessments. Balwierczak pledges to stop overdevelopment, roll back frequent reassessments, and eliminate metered parking to revitalize the business district. He advocates for responsible two-party government, believing North Arlington needs "real change" to restore its small, safe, suburban, and affordable character.   Daniel H. Pronti is the incumbent Mayor of North Arlington, New Jersey, first elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. His current term concludes at the end of 2026. Prior to his mayoral tenure, he served three terms on the Borough Council. As Mayor, Pronti has spearheaded the "North Arlington Renaissance," focusing on redeveloping outdated areas, attracting new businesses, and enhancing resident safety through roadway improvements. He champions strong youth and senior programs, supports local businesses, and has overseen the refurbishment of all local sports fields. He also serves on a New Jersey Board of Directors.
