  Janelle I. Anyanonu is an incumbent State Representative for New Mexico's District 19, having served since 2023. She is a Democrat running for re-election in the 2026 primary. A native of Albuquerque and a graduate of Wayland Baptist University, she is dedicated to protecting abortion rights and expanding access to affordable, quality healthcare. Anyanonu also advocates for increased funding to prevent violent crime, supports programs for veterans and military families, and seeks to implement stronger gun violence prevention measures, including mental health evaluations. She currently holds leadership roles as Vice Chair of both the House Commerce & Economic Development Committee and the Mortgage Finance Authority Act Oversight Committee.
