Nemorin is also a member of the Democratic Socialists of America and chairs the Policy and Legislation Committee of Bronx Community Board 1. Her progressive platform focuses on affordable housing, climate justice, healthcare, and immigrants' rights.

Amanda Septimo is the New York State Assemblymember representing District 84 in the South Bronx, a position she has held since 2021. She previously served as a district director for Congressman José E. Serrano and volunteered for local community organizations. In December 2025, Septimo launched a campaign for the U.S. House to represent New York's 15th Congressional District in the 2026 Democratic primary. She suspended her congressional campaign in January 2026 after a lupus diagnosis.
