- Keith Powers — Member of the New York State Assembly, District 74 in New York, New York
Keith Powers is the incumbent member of the New York State Assembly for the 74th district, having won a special election on February 3, 2026. He previously served as a member of the New York City Council for the 4th district from 2018 to 2025, where he was Majority Leader from 2022 to 2024. A lifelong resident of Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village, Powers earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Dayton and an M.A. in political science from the CUNY Graduate Center. His prior experience includes serving as chief of staff for Assemblyman Jonathan Bing and working as a vice president at the government relations firm Constantinople & Vallone Consulting.

Kevin O'Keefe is a community activist and the founder and president of the St. Vartan Park Conservancy. He has served on Manhattan Community Board 6 since 2019 and is a member of the Bellevue Hospital's Community Advisory Board. O'Keefe, a resident of Stuyvesant Town with his wife and three children, sought the Democratic nomination for the Assembly District 74 special election. He suspended his campaign in February 2026.

Josh Arnon is a Jewish autistic democratic socialist and a lifelong resident of Assembly District 74. He has a background as a community organizer and was a lead on the 'Tax the Rich' campaign. Arnon also worked in the film industry and was a whistleblower in the New York Times exposé of producer Scott Rudin. He suspended his campaign for the State Assembly.

Gabriel Turzo is a treasurer of the Eleanor Roosevelt Independent Democrats and has been a member of Manhattan Community Board 6 since 2017. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Swarthmore College, a master's in political science from the University of Melbourne, and a master's in international business from Temple University. He previously worked at Credit Suisse. Turzo initially filed to run for the Assembly seat but later withdrew from the race.

Marquis Jenkins is a community activist and an elected, unpaid District Leader for the 74th Assembly District. He grew up in the Mariana Bracetti Plaza NYCHA development. His career includes roles as Director of Organizing at Common Justice, Deputy Director of Campaigns at Freedom Agenda, Director of Organizing at WE ACT for Environmental Justice, and senior community organizer at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. He earned a bachelor's degree from Touro College. Jenkins sought the Democratic nomination for the special election.
