Tony Simone was elected to the Assembly in 2022 and is the incumbent for District 75. Born in Queens, New York, in 1970, he earned a BA in Political Science and Applied Economics from Hofstra University and a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University. His career in public service includes roles with State Senator Catherine Abate, Councilmember Christine Quinn, and NYS Comptroller Carl McCall. He also served as the Director of External Affairs at Hudson River Park Friends and worked for People for the American Way. He is the first openly-gay assembly member to represent the district.
