  Sarah M. Kyte is a Grand Forks attorney practicing primarily criminal defense, family, and juvenile law. A licensed attorney since 2019 and a graduate of UND School of Law, she was inspired to pursue law after her own experiences navigating the justice system during a difficult divorce and child custody battle, which included a period of homelessness. Her long-term goal has always been to become a judge. She is running for North Dakota District Court Judge, District Northeast Central, Seat 2, as a nonpartisan candidate, emphasizing people-powered and anti-corruption principles. She aims to serve others and make a positive difference. She previously ran for a judgeship in 2021.

  Theodore T. Sandberg is a District Court Judge for North Dakota's Northeast Central Judicial District, Grand Forks, appointed by Governor Doug Burgum in 2024. He has over 25 years of legal experience, including as a senior partner at a Grand Forks law firm, specializing in criminal defense and general litigation. His career began with service in the U.S. Navy, followed by roles as a law clerk, prosecuting attorney in Detroit, and private practice. Sandberg earned his law degree from the University of North Dakota in 1997 and has notably served as president of the State Bar Association of North Dakota and other bar associations.
