Jackson Lofgren is an incumbent District Court Judge for North Dakota's South Central Judicial District No. 2, appointed by Gov. Doug Burgum in 2023. A North Dakota attorney for 16 years, he previously co-owned Suhr & Lofgren Law Firm and served as an assistant state's attorney in Morton County and with Burleigh County Child Support Enforcement. Lofgren, raised on the Standing Rock Reservation, earned his law degree in 2006. He is a past president of the North Dakota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. As a judge, he has upheld the state's ban on gender-affirming care for children. He previously testified against a bill broadening domestic violence definitions.
