  Robin A. Schmidt serves as a Presiding Judge for the Northwest Judicial District Court, Judgeship No. 4, in North Dakota, chambered in Watford City. Appointed by Governor Jack Dalrymple in 2013 and subsequently elected to a six-year term in 2016, Judge Schmidt has a distinguished legal career. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work in 1999 and her Juris Doctor in 2004 from the University of North Dakota. After clerking for the North Dakota Supreme Court from 2004 to 2005, she entered private practice in Fargo and later established her own law firm in Watford City before her judicial appointment.
