2026 Primary Election

• Jayme Davis — Incumbent Member of the North Dakota House of Representatives in Rolette, ND

  Jayme M. Davis is an incumbent Democratic-NPL Member of the North Dakota House of Representatives, serving since 2022 and representing the 9th district. She is the House Minority Caucus Leader and Co-Chair of the North Dakota Future Caucus. Holding a BBA and an MPA, Davis has focused on criminal justice reform and notably championed the codification of the Indian Child Welfare Act into North Dakota law, a key issue for her as an Indigenous person. She is running for the 2026 North Dakota Senate election in the 9th legislative district, challenging incumbent Richard Marcellais. A Vietnam veteran, Marcellais has a background in business administration and owns several small businesses including Marcellais Computer Services. He has a long history of public service, including chairing the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, and currently works as a Veteran Service Officer. His legislative focus areas include Human Services, Transportation, Agriculture, and Veterans Affairs. He resides in Belcourt, ND, with his wife Betty, and they have two children and nine grandchildren.
