  Jay Steagall, a Republican, represents Oklahoma House District 43. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2002 with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Steagall served in the military from 1996-2019, retiring as a Major and a Senior Pilot on the KC-135 Stratotanker. First elected in 2018, he assumed office on November 21, 2018, and has been re-elected multiple times, including winning outright for the 2026 primary. He currently chairs the State Powers Committee and previously served as Assistant Republican Floor Leader.
