Rep. Chris Corry, born in California in 1982, is a Republican serving his fourth term as a State Representative for Washington. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Washington. Corry, who previously worked as a risk management advisor and in the insurance industry, assumed office on January 14, 2019. He currently represents the 15th Legislative District, covering the Yakima area, and holds the position of Deputy Minority Leader. He is married to Jennica and they have five children. His policy priorities include opposing new tax increases, particularly a state income tax, and he has been critical of tax legislation passed by majority Democrats. He serves on the Appropriations, Consumer Protection & Business, and Rules committees.
