A Stronger Future for Every Student
Our schools are at the heart of our community, and every student deserves a safe, supportive, and high-quality education that prepares them for success beyond graduation. I am running for re-election to the School Board because I believe our district can build on its strengths while addressing the challenges facing students, families, educators, and taxpayers. My priorities are clear: Safety, Academic Success, Transparency, Fiscal Responsibility, and Workforce Development Pathways.
Safety must come first. Students cannot learn effectively if they do not feel safe and supported. I will advocate for safe school facilities, effective emergency preparedness, responsible security measures, and strong partnerships among schools, families, and community organizations. Safety also means creating an environment where students and staff are treated with dignity and where concerns are heard and addressed promptly.
Academic success is our core mission. Every student should have access to excellent instruction, strong foundational skills, challenging coursework, and the support necessary to reach their potential. I will support efforts to strengthen literacy, mathematics, science, career and technical education, and programs that address learning gaps. We must use meaningful data to identify what is working, invest in proven strategies, and ensure that students graduate prepared for college, careers, or both.
Transparency builds trust. Parents, educators, employees, and taxpayers deserve clear information about how decisions are made and how district resources are being used. I will advocate for open communication, accessible financial information, clear explanations of major decisions, and meaningful opportunities for community input. School Board service should never be about secrecy or politics—it should be about accountability and doing what is best for students.
Fiscal responsibility matters. Every dollar entrusted to our district represents a commitment to our community and our children. I will support responsible budgeting, careful oversight, measurable outcomes, and thoughtful prioritization of spending. We must protect classroom resources while making sure expenditures provide genuine value to students and taxpayers. Responsible stewardship today helps preserve opportunities for students tomorrow.
Finally, we must expand workforce development pathways so students can see a clear connection between education and their future. Not every student will follow the same path after graduation, and our schools should prepare students for many forms of success. I will support partnerships with local businesses, colleges, trade organizations, and employers; expanded career and technical education; internships, apprenticeships, certifications, dual-enrollment opportunities, and other experiences that give students practical skills and a competitive advantage.
I am running to be a thoughtful, accessible, and accountable voice for our community. Together, we can create schools where students are safe, learning, challenged, and prepared for the future; where educators are supported; where families are informed; and where taxpayers know their resources are being responsibly managed.
Our students are our greatest investment. Let’s give them the safe schools, strong academics, responsible leadership, and meaningful opportunities they deserve.
I’m asking for your vote! With over 34 years in public education, I am knowledgeable, experienced and will continue dedicating my service to the success of our students.
