About Civoren

Civoren is a platform built to modernize elections in the United States. We help candidates run professional, modern campaigns while giving voters a simple way to see who is on their ballot and what they stand for.

Civoren was founded by Adam Rose and Sam Alston while they were students at Cornell University. The idea emerged when a friend ran for a local office in Ithaca and there was no straightforward way for voters to learn about his campaign. That experience revealed a clear gap: candidates lacked modern tools to reach voters, and voters lacked a trusted place to learn about who's on the ballot.

The Founders

Adam Rose graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honors from Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. His senior thesis, written under Professor Rosemary Batt, examined healthcare policy and cybersecurity in health IT systems. Adam has experience in financial markets as a Macro Analyst at an investment bank in New York, previously worked in local government, and served as a Campaign Fellow on Senator Elissa Slotkin's 2022 congressional re-election campaign.

Sam Alston studied Computer Science at Cornell University and competed as a lightweight rower in the Varsity 8+, ultimately earning 2nd Team All-Ivy League and racing at the Henley Royal Regatta in England. He now lives in New York City and has worked as a software engineer in finance. Sam enjoys building technology that enables candidates to run more organized and efficient campaigns.
