About
Sharron Angle, a Republican, is seeking election for Nevada Secretary of State in the 2026 primary. Born in 1949, she previously served in the Nevada Assembly from 1999 to 2007. Angle has a long history of political campaigns, including unsuccessful runs for U.S. Congress and Senate, and Nevada State Senate. She advocates for the elimination of the U.S. Department of Education, believing education standards should be controlled at the local level due to its unconstitutionality. She is running to oversee elections, voter registration, and business licensing in Nevada.
