Mary Gay Scanlon is an American attorney and politician who has represented Pennsylvania's 5th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served as national pro bono counsel at a major U.S. law firm, directing over 600 lawyers in providing legal services to low-income clients. She earned her B.A. from Colgate University and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
