About
Stephen C. Maxwell is a military veteran and nonprofit leader running as an Independent write-in candidate for Governor of Tennessee in 2026. In a published letter to Tennessee voters (June 1, 2026) he describes himself as a longtime Republican voter who is running as a Write-In Independent because he was 'tired of hearing the word, NO!!', and outlines priorities around veterans, health-care costs, federal overreach and education.
