Abena Affum-McAllister is a Democratic candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates in Legislative District 28. A resident of Charles County for over ten years, she currently serves as the Director of Criminal Justice Reform Initiatives for the Charles County State's Attorney's Office. Affum-McAllister earned her Juris Doctorate from the David A. Clarke School of Law, and her career has centered on public policy and community advocacy. Her policy experience includes drafting legislation related to CPR and AED training in schools. She is also the founder of the community organization Women of Action Charles County and previously served as the Deputy Secretary of the Maryland Democratic Party.
