Adam Gómez is a lifelong Springfield, Massachusetts resident and the State Senator for the Hampden District (Springfield and Chicopee). A former small business owner and former Springfield City Councilor, he became in 2020 the first Latino elected to represent the Hampden District in the Massachusetts Senate. He chairs the Joint Committee on Cannabis Policy and the Joint Committee on Community Development and Small Businesses, and serves as Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Racial Equity, Civil Rights, and Inclusion. His stated priorities include housing affordability, environmental justice, criminal justice reform, voting rights, immigrant rights, and workforce development.
