Alan Silvia is not currently running for office on Civoren.
Alan Silvia is a lifelong resident of Fall River, Massachusetts and a United States Marine Corps veteran who served in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. He earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and an M.S. from Salve Regina University, and spent 21 years in the Fall River Police Department as a detective investigating major crimes and in the Sexual Abuse Unit. He developed the SPEAK sexual abuse prevention program in the Fall River schools and serves as president of the South End Neighborhood Association.
Alan Silvia has a recorded position on three issues. Each is Civoren's summary of the campaign's own public material, with the source linked.
Silvia supports state Auditor Diana DiZoglio's authority to audit the Massachusetts Legislature. In April 2026 he filed an amicus brief arguing the auditor has broad authority to probe the Legislature and calling for the 2024 voter-approved audit law to be given effect, breaking with his party's leadership.
“"When we keep talking about transparency and accountability, we're not being very good role models."”
