Alex Andrade is a Burien City Councilmember, small business owner, and community volunteer running for the Washington State House of Representatives, District 33, Position 2. A lifelong Democrat, she is a Latina, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and a mother of two adult children. Having grown up in Eastern Washington and lived in King County since the late 1990s, she aims to bring a stronger voice for cities and families to Olympia. Her campaign priorities include public safety, balanced approaches to homelessness, addressing mental health and substance abuse, supporting local businesses, and fostering economic growth. She serves on various regional policy and community boards, including SOMOS Seattle / Seattle Latinx Pride.
