Alexander C.D. Giza was appointed as a Judge to the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in November 2018 by then-Governor Jerry Brown. Prior to his appointment, he was a co-founder and partner at Hueston Hennigan LLP, where his practice focused on complex business and intellectual property litigation. His previous legal experience includes being a partner at Russ, August and Kabat, and counsel and associate at Irell and Manella LLP. He began his legal career as a law clerk for Justice Walter L. Carpeneti of the Alaska Supreme Court. Before law school, Judge Giza worked for over six years as an electrical engineer. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
