Alison M. Mackenzie was appointed as a Judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County by Governor Jerry Brown in July 2018. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and her Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School. Prior to her appointment, her legal career focused on complex civil litigation. She was a partner at Boies, Schiller, Flexner LLP starting in 2017. Before that, she was with Caldwell, Leslie and Proctor PC from 2007 to 2017, working as an associate, counsel, and eventually a shareholder. From 2005 to 2006, Mackenzie served as a law clerk for the Honorable Dean D. Pregerson at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
