Allison Dahle is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, and has represented District 11 in the North Carolina House of Representatives since January 2019. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Speech. Before her political career, Dahle was a stage manager on Broadway and later worked for the Young Adult Institute in Brooklyn and the Arc of North Carolina, focusing on services for individuals with developmental disabilities. She is one of the few openly LGBTQ+ members of the North Carolina legislature.
