Amalia Mercedes Restucha

Amalia Mercedes Restucha is an attorney in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has previously served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Public Protection Section of the North Carolina Department of Justice, where she focused on outreach to vulnerable populations and worked on civil rights and public safety initiatives. Her experience also includes advocating for the civil rights of people with disabilities, particularly in areas of employment, accessibility, and voting rights, as well as practicing criminal and immigration law. Restucha-Klem earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Juris Doctorate, with honors, from North Carolina Central University School of Law. Before law school, she was an aide to U.S. Congressman Bob Etheridge.
