Amanda Gonzalez

Amanda Gonzalez is a democracy expert and attorney, currently serving as the Jefferson County Clerk & Recorder as the first Latina and openly queer person elected to the role. She previously led Colorado Common Cause, championing voting rights and independent redistricting. With a law degree from the University of Denver, she is running for Colorado Secretary of State in 2026 to defend democracy, protect votes, and ensure secure, transparent elections. Her campaign focuses on expanding ballot access, improving election security, and preventing election misinformation. She is affiliated with several bar associations and identifies as bisexual.
