Amy Dozier Minton

Amy Dozier Minton, a Rainbow City resident, is running for the Republican nomination for Alabama State Senate District 10 in 2026. Retired from pharmaceutical sales with a master's degree, she is married to Dr. Maury Minton, a former U.S. Marine and medical doctor, and they have two children. Her platform emphasizes conservative values, infrastructure, education, and veterans' support. A strong proponent of the Second Amendment, Minton also advocates for small businesses and against government overreach. Her public service includes being Vice Chair of the Etowah County Republican Party, a representative on the Alabama State Executive Republican Committee, and a member of the Etowah County Library Board and the Alabama Public Library Services Board (appointed by Governor Ivey), where she has advocated for restricting LGBTQ+ content in youth sections. She is guided by her Christian faith.
