Congressman André Carson has served as the U.S. Representative for Indiana's 7th Congressional District since 2008. He serves on the House Intelligence Committee, the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party. Before his election to Congress, Carson served on the Indianapolis City-County Council and worked in law enforcement. Born in Indianapolis, he holds degrees from Concordia University-Wisconsin and Indiana Wesleyan University.
