Andrea Downs

Andrea Downs is an incumbent member of the South Whidbey School Board, first elected in 2017. She has a background in special education, having worked for nearly a decade specializing in emotional behavioral disabilities. Downs has held positions as a behavior specialist and program facilitator for Everett and Seattle Public Schools and served as the Director of Special Services with the Coupeville School District. She earned a Master of Arts in Policy Studies from the University of Washington Bothell in 2013. Her work has focused on advocating for equity, changes in discipline policies, and equal access to educational supports.
