Andy Adolfson has been involved in the fire service for his entire adult life, starting as a volunteer firefighter/EMT in high school. He holds a degree in Fire Command and Administration from Bellevue Community College. His career includes serving as a firefighter/EMT for King County Fire District 2 and King County Fire District 25, with the majority of his career spent at the Bellevue Fire Department. In Bellevue, he attended the University of Washington School of Medicine Paramedic Training program, served on Medic One units for 11 years, and rose through the ranks to retire as the Deputy Chief of Operations in September 2023.
