Anita Amalia Gonzales

Anita Amalia Gonzales is an incumbent Democratic State Representative for New Mexico's 70th district, serving since January 2025. A native of Las Vegas, New Mexico, she is also a Deputy Director. Representative Gonzales is seeking re-election in the 2026 primary. Her legislative agenda focuses on championing reproductive healthcare rights, expanding rural healthcare access and mental health services, enhancing broadband for telehealth and economic development, and advocating for Paid Family and Medical Leave and job training programs. She chairs the House Enrolling & Engrossing - B committee and serves on House Education and House Rural Development, Land Grants and Cultural Affairs committees.
