Ann Meyer is an incumbent Republican State Representative for Iowa, currently representing District 8 after previously serving District 9. Born in Redford, Michigan in 1965, she resides in Fort Dodge, Iowa, with her husband Jim and their son. Meyer holds a B.S. in nursing from the University of Detroit Mercy and has a professional background as a registered nurse, business owner, and community volunteer. She serves on health care advisory boards and the Iowa Central Community College Simulation Center Advisory Board. In the legislature, she has chaired the Human Resources Committee and held positions on Appropriations, Health and Human Services, Transportation, and Health Policy Oversight committees. Meyer believes her marketing and business ownership background enables effective collaboration and delivery of results for Northwest Iowa. She is seeking re-election in the 2026 primary.
