Ann Michelle McEntire

Ann Michelle McEntire is the incumbent judge for District Court 41, Seat 2. She was appointed to the bench in July 2020 by Governor Roy Cooper to serve what was then Judicial District 29A. Prior to her appointment, she operated her own law practice, McEntire Law, PLLC, starting in 2018. From 2007 to 2018, she served as an Assistant District Attorney. Her earlier career was as a clinical social worker. McEntire earned her Juris Doctor from Campbell University's School of Law in 2007. She also holds a Master of Social Work (1998) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (1996) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
