Anne Manning Martin is a fifth-generation Peabody, Massachusetts native and Peabody city councilor-at-large who ran for lieutenant governor in 2026 as the running mate of gubernatorial candidate Mike Kennealy. She has 34 years of experience in law enforcement and criminal justice and serves as deputy superintendent at the Massachusetts Department of Correction's Lemuel Shattuck Hospital unit. She has 27 years of elected experience in Peabody - eight years on the School Committee and 19 years on the City Council - and previously ran unsuccessfully for the Massachusetts Governor's Council (2024) and Essex County sheriff (2016).
