Anthony Gipe

Anthony David Gipe was appointed as a Kent Municipal Court Judge in 2019, with his term starting in January 2020. He is a U.S. Navy veteran, where he served as an intelligence analyst and interpreter. After his military service, he earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law and practiced law for nearly 20 years, focusing on complex civil litigation, criminal defense, and civil rights. Gipe is a past president of the Washington State Bar Association and a co-founder of the International Families Justice Coalition. He is also a member of the Washington Supreme Court Minority & Justice Commission.
