April D Fournier

April D Fournier is a two-term At-Large City Councilor in Portland, Maine, and a member of the Dine’ Nation. A lifelong Mainer and mother of four, she holds a Master of Education in Intervention Studies and has worked as an Early Childhood Special Educator. Fournier is running for the Maine Legislature's House District 114 seat, opting not to seek a third term on the City Council. Her policy focus includes advocating for trauma-informed approaches in school discipline, supporting LD474 to end expulsion for Maine's youngest learners, and establishing sustainable funding for emergency shelters (LD 2124).
